A 27-inch frame on the entryway buffet runs Cakeday: family birthdays (with how old everyone's turning), anniversaries and special dates, merged with two Google calendars and US holidays. When it's idle, the frame turns back into a piece of art.

Behind it is a .NET 10 Native AOT API over PostgreSQL. A background poller syncs the Google calendars through the Calendar API, logins are for the household only, and its secrets are sealed with TCrypt.
